PSIM Responds To Jersey Noise Number 1 And Match Fixing Issues

PSIM Yogyakarta is being hit by a match fixing issue in Liga 2 2023/2024 (Instagram/@psimjogja_official).

JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta PSIM was hit by a problem. The management of Laskar Mataram was hit by the issue of match fixing to the "usage" of jersey number 1.

Responding to the chaos that recently dragged the team's name, the management of PSIM immediately opened their voices.

Speaking of jersey number 1, previously it was known that the Acting Mayor of Yogyakarta, Singgih Raharjo, was caught several times watching the 2023/2024 Liga 2 home match at the Mandala Krida Stadium using jersey number 1.

Padahal, sebagai diketahui, dalam aturan atau adat Brajamusti--suporter PSIM--jersey nomor 1, terserti atau hanya boleh digunakan Presiden Brajamusti sebagai bentuk penghargaan dan pengakuan.

Regarding this, the President Director of PSIM, Liana Tasno, said that his party had apologized to Brajamusti.

"We apologize to President Brajamusti, DPP, and all Laskar Brajamusti for this incident."

"This is the negligence of the management. We have communicated with parties regarding this matter," Liana said in a written statement quoted on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Jersey number 1 for Laskar Mataram should not be arbitrary. In fact, there was never a PSIM player who used the number 1 jersey.

In addition to straightening out the use of jersey number 1, Liana also spoke up regarding the issue of match fixing that emerged in the match against North Maluku United. PSIM management clearly denies any match fixing.

He is even willing and ready to continue this allegation to legal action if there is valid evidence related to the issue.

"We from management are very open if there is really valid evidence of this issue. We are ready together with the two supporters and Yogyakarta football policy makers to take this issue to the legal realm in order to maintain the big name of PSIM," he said.

"On behalf of PSIM, I emphasize that PSIM upholds integrity and the principle of fair play," said Liana.

Due to the issue of match-fixing, Liana admitted that this made the situation within PSIM not conducive.

In fact, PSIM currently needs positive energy from all elements to undergo Liga 2 2023/2024.

"Currently our focus is on bringing PSIM through to League 1. Hopefully, the entire PSIM family can continue to synergize to support this," said Liana.
