Winning Three Goals, Manchester United Makes Everton Sink

JAKARTA - Everton, who have just been punished, is sinking further. Manchester United performed brilliantly when they drowned Everton 3-0 in the English Premiere duel at Goodison Park Stadium, Monday, November 27, WIB.

Everton still seems to be hit by heavy penalties in the form of deducting points for violations of financial fair play.

Manchester City and Chelsea also committed violations. Only two clubs have not received sanctions.

A reduction of up to 10 points meant that Everton immediately fell into the relegation zone, occupying 19th position. They also only have four points.

When they wanted to recover, Everton met MU who were hotly chasing points. Without mercy, the Red Devils immediately finished off Everton in another version of The Northwest Derby.

If The Toffees are increasingly sinking and are threatened with being dropped from the caste, on the other hand, MU is starting to push towards the top flight.

Now, MU is back in sixth place with 24 points. Two points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who fell to fifth after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa.

MU is also still six points behind the leaders, Arsenal, who won 1-0 over Brentford. Meanwhile, Man City was forced to abdicate after drawing 1-1 against Liverpool.

In that duel, MU, who lost striker Rasmus Hojlund, was still able to show his best game.

Striker Anthony Martial, who replaced Hojlund, returned to start. He was supported by Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho on the wings. Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes is behind Martial.

MU did look good. The match had only been going on for three minutes, Garnacho successfully broke into the hosts' goal with a cool overhead kick or bicycle kick.

It started with Diogo Dalot's cross which Garnacho met with an overhead kick. This young Argentine national team player's shot went straight through Everton's goal.

However, after Garnacho's goal, MU had difficulty increasing their lead. In fact, they couldn't score another goal so the first half ended 1-0.

Entering the second half, the three-time Champions League champion played aggressively again. This time, their attack gave positive results because MU finally added a goal from the penalty spot in the 56th minute.

The penalty was given after Martial was brought down by former MU defender Ashley Young. Referee John Brooks judged that Martial had fallen in the penalty box so that both players received yellow cards.

However, after reviewing the incident via VAR, Brooks canceled Martial's yellow card because there had indeed been a foul.

The referee also pointed to the spot. Fernandes clearly gave the ball to Rashford who was barren and has only scored one goal this season. And, this England national team player completed the penalty well.

Everton has found it difficult to catch MU. Moreover, Martial then found the net for the London-based club in the 75th minute.

This goal further confirmed that Martial was indeed suitable for Everton. He routinely scores goals when facing Everton.

The score was 3-0 for MU and lasted until the match. This will be their capital when they visit Galatasaray's headquarters in the Champions League this midweek.
