2023 U-17 World Cup: Meet Germany U-17 In The Semifinals, Argentina U-17 Ready For Combat

Argentina U-17 silenced Brazil U-17 in the quarter-finals of the 2023 U-17 World Cup (doc. FIFA).

JAKARTA Argentina U-17 has qualified for the semifinals of the 2023 U-17 World Cup and will face European giants, Germany U-17.

La Albicelestes reached the last four of the two years after beating Brazil U-17 with a score of 3-0 at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Friday, November 24, 2023 night WIB.

Argentina U-17 coach Diego Placenta said Germany U-17 was a tough opponent for them. The Euro U-17 2023 champion is considered to have a chance to make it difficult for them to make their inaugural title at the U-17 World Cup.

"Germany U-17 is our next opponent which is certainly very difficult, but we will do our best to win," Placente told the match media crew after the mixed zone.

"We haven't seen how Germany U-17 plays. So, we'll see how it goes next," said the 46-year-old tactician.

Argentina U-17 scored Brazil U-17 through their hat-trick wonderkid, Claudio Echeverri. The River Plate player scored one goal each in the first half and two goals in the second half.

Placente said that the victory against Brazil U-17 provided its own pleasure. Apart from being a rival, Brazil's U-17 is also the favorite strong team to win.

"Actually, Brazil U-17 is a very tough opponent, but we can get past the quarter-finals. It's a difficult game, but we can win," he said.

Argentina U-17 will meet Germany U-17 on November 28, 2023 at Manahan Stadium, Central Java. La Albicelestes will pursue their first final ticket in the history of participation in the U-17 World Cup.
