U-17 World Cup Results: This Is The Key To US 3-1 Victory Over South Korea

JAKARTA - United States U-17 coach Gonzalo Segares assessed that his team had difficulty playing the South Korean U-17 national team ball control game.

The United States U-17 national team won their first victory in Group E of the U-17 World Cup after defeating South Korea 3-1 which took place at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Jakarta, Sunday.

"I am proud of this team because his opponent is not easy with good quality possession, we are aware of that. We had difficulties and had to learn from those difficulties. Today is a good example to stay patient when we are dead and the results are perfect. We must be able to find opportunities and take advantage of the attacking transition well," said Gonzalo Segaresai the match.

The team nicknamed Baby Nats won through goals scored by Brechimas (two goals) and Medina, while South Korea was only able to reply through Kim Myeongjun's flick. The United States is quite difficult to overcome the game of the Taegouk Troops team which controls the game and has agile wingers.

"We had problems in the pressing situation and we chose to put the midfielder back in to build and dismantle the opponent's pressure. Then we ran the defense scheme well as a team," saidgonzalo Segares, quoted by Antara.

With this result, the United States is in second place with three points, they only lost the goal margin to France which was at the top of the standings. While South Korea is in third place.

Furthermore, the United States will face Burkina Faso on Thursday. Meanwhile, in another Group E match, the French national team brought together against South Korea which took place on the same day.
