Barcelona Fixed By Xavi Hernandez Before The Match Against Shakhtar Donetsk In The Champions League

JAKARTA - Barcelona only narrowly won 1-0 over Real Sociedad in injury time in the La Liga Spanish competition. Coach Xavi Hernandez admitted he was disappointed even though his team won. He had to clean up the team's shortcomings before meeting Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, Wednesday, November 11 in the morning WIB.

The crucial match in the Champions League is in sight. Shakhtar is clearly not an easy opponent. In the first duel at home, Barca had to work hard before winning 2-1.

Now, Barca are playing away matches. Victory over Shakhtar will pass Barca to the knockout round.

Barca, who leads Group H standings with nine points, still need one more win to get a ticket to the last 16 e.

According to Xavi, the team played better when they lost 2-1 against Real Madrid at el clasico. In contrast to their appearance when they won over Real Sociedad, which was judged to have played badly.

"Last week we deserved to win, we still lost. In this match we didn't deserve to win but instead won," said Xavi.

Xavi felt the need to clean up the team so that they were better prepared to face Shakhtar. The reason is that against Sociedad, the team had difficulties and had few opportunities to score goals.

"We were really uncomfortable. We couldn't create many chances. We really had a hard time," he said.

Read will be strengthened again by striker Robert Lewandowski who has recovered from an ankle injury.

In the match against Sociedad, he had already started. But he played less than 60 minutes before being replaced by Pedri.

In the previous match at el clasico, Lewandowski sat on the bench and was only fielded in the second half. Former Bayern Munich striker will likely perform full when facing Shakhtar.
