The Indonesian National Team Won 6-0 Over Brunei Darussalam, Shin Tae-yong Still Found Things He Was Not Happy With

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team secured a 6-0 victory when they met Brunei Darussalam in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. Garuda Squad coach, Shin Tae-yong, fully appreciated the hard work of the national team players.

However, this South Korean coach revealed that there are things that still make him unhappy in this match.

"I congratulate the players, but for the content of the match, I am not very happy," said the coach during a press conference after the match at Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta on Thursday, October 12 evening WIB.

The points mentioned by Shin Tae-yong that made him still feel dissatisfied turned out to be about the team's performance. Shin Tae-yong said, the game should be better than this.

"The game should have been better, but we saw that after the second goal there was a very long gap until the third goal occurred, that's what we had to evaluate," said Shin Tae-yong.

But fortunately in the second half the players returned to work hard again until finally it went well. So I still thank the players," explained the coach.

In the match which took place on Thursday, October 12 evening WIB, the performance of the national team at home was fairly impressive. Since the first minute Asnawi Mangkualam et al immediately attacked the Brunei Darussalam defense.

It didn't take long for the opening goal to be scored by Dimas Drajad when the new minute showed the number seven. In this match Dimas also scored two other goals when the game took place in the 72nd minute and 90+2.

Apart from a hat trick from Dimas Drajad, the Indonesian national team's victory could not be separated from Rizki Ridho's execution in the 13th minute. Meanwhile, the two closing goals were donations from Ramadhan Sananta in the 63rd minute and a kick in the penalty box.

On the same occasion, Dimas Drajad, who contributed a hattrick, clearly admitted that he was happy with this achievement. But for him, it is not about numbers that are the main points for him, but the ability of himself and his colleagues to carry out the coach's instructions well.

"Alhamdulillah, I was able to win and I am grateful to be able to print a hat trick. But the most important thing is not when I print a hat trick but when I can carry out instructions from coach Shin Tae-yong, because as a team we have to be united and we have to be able to perform well again in the second leg," said Dimas Drajad.
