Marc Marquez Opens Opportunities To Return To Honda In 2025, But Rejected

JAKARTA - Marc Marquez's career in Repsol Honda will end in line with the completion of the 2023 competition season. The news that blows Marquez will join the Gresini Racing team.

Together with the Ducati satellite team, Marquez was contracted for one year. After that, he could return to Honda.

The Spaniard is known to be involved in serious conversations with Honda, Tsukamoto and Koji Watanabe officials. He admitted that he was ready to return to Honda in 2025 when his status was without a team.

Marquez also reportedly conveyed the conditions to Honda if he wanted to return to work together again. Marquez asked the manufacturer to make improvements.

He also set a target so that at least one of the Honda riders can penetrate the top five in the 2024 season. With that, Marquez believes that Honda has improved.

"The offer surprised the HRC (Honda Racing Team) leadership, but was later rejected," said a report quoted from the crash.net on Monday, October 9.

Marquez and Honda's conversation is said to be going smoothly and the two of them open up to each other and receive input. But in the end, Honda's boss, Tsukamoto and Koji Watanabe, remained in his decision to no longer accept Marquez to start a new era without the shadow of the rider.
