Fadillah Arbi Debuts At GP Mandalika As Wildcard Honda Team Asia Racer

JAKARTA - Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) racer Fadillah Arbi Aditama will debut in the Indonesian Moto3 Grand Prix (GP) world championship at the Mandalika Circuit on October 13-15.

He will race with another Indonesian champion, Mario Suryo Aji, on Honda Team Asia. This assurance was announced by Astra Honda Racing Team which oversees Arbi through their official Instagram account, Monday, October 9.

"HOW A WARM INFORMATION; ARBI RACING AT GP MANDALIKA! @f.arbi93, the Astra Honda Racing Team racer who made Indonesia Raya reverberate in the Barcelona JuniorGP round, will join the @honda_team_asia team with @mariosuryoaj1," wrote the account.

Arbi, who is currently competing in the FIM JuniorGP, is an alumni of Astra Honda Racing School in 2019. Achieved the racing level compiled by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Arbi started his international racing career at the Asia Talent Cup in the 2021 season when he was 15 years old.

With promising potential, Arbi got a golden opportunity to compete in the FIM JuniorGP. In July 2023, Arbi managed to make history as the first Indonesian racer to play Indonesia Raya by winning the highest podium at the JuniorGP world racing championship at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain.

"We are pleased to announce that Astra Honda Motor racer, Arbi Aditama, will have a wild card with us at Mandalika. He has participated in the FIM Junior GP and won an extraordinary victory in the Catalunya race," said Honda Team Asia team manager Hiroshi Aoyama.

"This will be his first participation in the World Championships. So, this will be a completely new experience for him. In addition, he will do it at his home GP. That is, his hopes and his fans will be high."

Arbi's debut adds to the length of Astra Honda Racing School alumni who have paved the world racing championships in the Moto2 and Moto3 classes. There were previously Andi Farid Izdihar, who is usually known as Andi Gilang, Gerry Salim and Mario Aji.
