JAKARTA - Pramac Ducati racer, Jorge Martin discussed the current rivalry in MotoGP. In his view, there is no rivalry like what happened between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez.
For Jorge Martin, the competition between current riders remains, but they all respect each other. So that competition occurs healthily without having to hate other riders.
"Various and hateful competition among racers will attract more attention than good competition, as it brings fans and supporters to both sides," Martin said as quoted by Crash on Friday, October 6.
"We don't have it (hat) now; now there is respect, good relations. We risk our lives every weekend and we don't have to hate each other," he continued.
For Martin, he also respects as high as for other riders. However, the friendship that is well established is only with Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro.

"I'm good friends with Aleix Espargaro, but the rest aren't close friends of mine. Frictions could have appeared with certain riders but that's not the level of hatred (Ayrton) Senna and (Alain) Prost, or Lorezno and (Dani) Pedrosa, or Marc (Marquez) and Valentino (Rossi)," he said.
Regarding rivalry on track, Jorge Martin is currently competing fiercely with Francesco Bagnaia in the hunt for the 2023 MotoGP title.
With the remaining six series currently Bagnaia leads the standings with a collection of 319 points. Martin followed in second place with a difference of just three points from the Italian rider.
