MGPA Expresses 100 Percent Readiness Of Mandalika Circuit For MotoGP 2023

JAKARTA - The Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, was declared 100 percent ready to hold the 2023 MotoGP. This was conveyed by the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MPGA) President Director Priandhi Satria.

In the preparation process, the Mandalika Circuit has passed the repainting, as well as the race track that has been cleaned for some time.

"There is also a new arena that we paint in green. Three days ago our circuit was flushed, then tied and sucked. This morning it was finished. You could say that this track has been completed," Priandhi said in a statement quoted on Friday, October 6.

"Today there is still a little painting because there are some paints that peel after being brushed. That's just minor. You could say it's 100 percent ready," he explained.

Apart from the track preparation, Priandhi also explained that the audience arena and riders also continue to be monitored. Such as the paddock and pit lane which continue to be communicated with Dorna so that everything is projected according to the standards of the organizers.

"So in this paddock there is a lot of work to be done. We go back and forth sending pictures of the paddock layout as Dorna wants," said Priandhi.

Regarding the team's logistics, this is confirmed to have been completed because four cargoes arrived in Lombok from Japan last Thursday. All of these logistics were sent in stages using charter planes ordered by Dorna.

"There are four cargo planes. This morning at 2 o'clock the fourth plane arrived. Previously at 7 pm the third charter plane. So the goods from Japan have arrived in Indonesia," he said.

"Well, from two weeks ago, goods from the sea and air had also come. These are non-Japanese items, such as tires from factories, spare parts from factories," said Priandhi.

The Mandalika Circuit will be the 15th MotoGP 2023 race series on October 13-15. This series will be fierce because the competition for points to win the title is getting tighter.
