Casemiro Red Card Against Galatasaray, Manchester United Falls At Old Trafford

JAKARTA - Manchester United fell at home. In the Champions League Group A match against Galasataray at Old Trafford Stadium, Wednesday, October 4 in the morning WIB, MU, who had to play with 10 people following Casemiro's expulsion, was forced to surrender 3-2. The defeat that made MU occupy the bottom of the Group A standings.

MU doesn't seem to have come from adversity. In the Champions League, Manchester United lost for the second time. Previously in the first match against Bayern Munich, they also had to admit the advantage of the host with a score of 4-3.

When appearing at home, MU actually had the opportunity to rise and win the first victory. However, they lost points again at Old Trafford.

This failure completes the slump of the Red Devils. In the English Premier League competition, MU also drowned and struggled in the middle board. In the last match, Erik ten Hag's team who also played at home lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace.

But again, MU players immediately lost focus when they were ahead. Not long ago or in the 71st minute, Galatasaray again equalized the score to 2-2. This time, the Kerem Akturkoglu defeated Onana after completing a pass from Baris Alper Yilmaz.

After being matched by this Turkish club, MU tried to press again. However, MU had to lose the flagship midfielder Casemiro who committed a foul on Dries Mertens in the 77th minute. Casemiro was not only expelled after receiving a second yellow card and then a red card, United was also sentenced to a penalty.

Luckily, Mauro Icardi failed to complete his execution. Icardi's shot deviated so that Onana's goal remained safe.

However, Icardi then paid for his mistake by scoring a goal in the 81st minute. His hull kick failed to be saved by Onana and this became Galatasaray's winning goal. The score changed to 3-2 for Galatasaray and lasted until the end of the match.

The defeat made MU to the bottom of the standings without getting points. Meanwhile Galatasaray is in second place with four points. Bayern perched at the top of the standings after a 2-1 win over Copenhagen.
