Complete Results Of This Morning's Europa League Match: Liverpool, AS Roma And Bayern Leverkusen Unstoppable

JAKARTA - The preliminary group of the 2023/2024 Europa League will play their first match on Friday, September 22, early morning WIB. A number of large teams tested positive in this inaugural match.

Liverpool, who traveled to LASK, won 3-1. Had fallen behind due to the conceded goal of Flecker in the 14th minute, the Reds then rose in the second half.

Three goals were scored by Jurgen Klopp's troops. First, through the execution of Darwin Nunez's penalty in the 56th minute, then through Luis Diaz's action in the 63rd minute and finally Mohamed Salah in the 88th minute.

AS Roma also won victory which visited FC Sheriff's headquarters. The Italian Serie A club won 2-1.

Roma took a 1-0 lead in the first half through Gabi's own goal. The Sheriff equalized through Tovar's goal in the 57th minute, but Romelu Lukaku gave the visitors a win with an action in the 65th minute.

In another match, Bayer Leverkusen won 4-0 over BK Haecken. The hosts' goals were scored by Florian Wirtz (10th minute), Amine Adli (16), Victor Boniface (67), and Jonas Hofmann (70).

Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion swallowed the bitter pill in their Europa League debut. They lost 2-3 at home to AEK Athena.

Spanish La Liga club Villarreal also suffered defeat in this first match. They fell 0-2 at home to Panathinaikos.
