Erick Thohir's Hope For The U-17 Indonesian National Team Who Are TC In Bundesliga Club Facilities: Hopefully It Can Be As Successful As Germany

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team players arrived in Germany on Monday, September 18. The Bima Sakti team will hold a training camp (TC) in preparation for the 2023 U-17 World Cup in Indonesia.

The General Chairperson (Ketum) of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Erick Thohir, hopes that TC Garuda Nusantara while in Germany can characterize the team to be more confident in facing the big event which will be held next November. He hopes for help from the German Football Federation (DFB).

"We need support and guidance from German football so that Indonesian football can follow Germany's success and progress," said Erick Thohir on PSSI's official website.

"This is also to improve the skills and awareness of players' tactics. While in Germany PSSI coach consultant Frank darusuth accompanied and supervised the team to stay on the right path," he continued.

In addition, TC in Germany is also expected to improve the ability of the players. In addition to doing training, PSSI has prepared a series of trials.

The U-17 national team will participate in six test matches against the Bundesliga youth teams. Iqbal Gwijangge and his friends will also face several countries with no doubt about their quality.

"The National Training Center in Germany will be an important part in preparing the national team for high competition at the FIFA U-17 level where there are strong countries in football with talented players," the SOE Minister added.

It is planned that the U-17 national team will be in Germany until October 23. While in Germany the national team will train at facilities owned by Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund.
