JAKARTA - PSIM Yogyakarta assistant coach Welinsyah said his team took aim at three points when they hosted PSKC Cimahi in the second week of Liga 2 Indonesia Group 2 at the Mandala Krida Stadium, Yogyakarta, Sunday 17 September.

Quoted from the club's official website on Sunday, Weliansyah explained that victory was a fixed price after PSIM Yogyakarta had to lose 2-3 to FC Bekasi City at home.

Welinsyah assessed that the victory over PSIM Yogyakarta PSIM Cimahi could provide additional confidence in PSIM to navigate the Indonesian League 2 competition.

"We apologize for the first appearance with unsatisfactory results. And with the remaining week, we are trying to improve the team. We have conducted an evaluation, hopefully we can get maximum results in tomorrow's match," said Weliansyah, quoted by Antara.

Regarding the absence of PSIM Yogyakarta head coach Kas Hartadi at a press conference session before the match, Weliansyah explained that the former Sriwijaya FC coach was suffering from toothaches.

Regarding hopes about two foreign players from PSIM Yogyakarta, Welinsyah hopes that Andreas Campollo Esswein and Aleksandar Rakic can perform more optimally when facing PSKC Cimahi.

Weliansyah explained that the two import players have so far made good adaptation and are getting more and more together with the Mataram Laskar squad.

"In the second match against PSKC, we hope that both foreign players can perform more optimally by showing their best abilities," explained Weliansyah.

Currently, PSIM Yogyakarta is in the position of caretaker of the Indonesian League 2 standings Group 2 with no points from one match, while PSKC Cimahi occupies second place with a score of one point.
