Barcelona Vs Cadiz 2-0, Xavi: This Is A Decent Victory

JAKARTA - Barcelona won 2-0 over Cadiz in the second match of La Liga Spain at the Lluis Company's Olimpic Stadium, Sunday night local time or Monday morning WIB. This victory was achieved through a goal towards the end of the match.

Barcelona's two goals were scored in the second half. The first was through Pedri in the 82nd minute, while the second was through Ferran Torres in the 90+4 minute.

"I am happy, very satisfied with the team's performance and the game of their position. I think this is a decent victory," Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez was quoted as saying by AFP via Antara.

Cadiz was able to withstand the attacks Barca had given to most of the game. But that doesn't mean they never threaten. Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was forced to make a save to save Roger Marti from one-on-one situations.

Barca's new signing Oriol Romeu spread threats through a chaos situation in front of Cadiz's goal, but his shot still hit the opposing player. Meanwhile, Ruben Alcaraz almost put Cadiz ahead when his shot went wide.

Barca had another chance from Gavi's strike which hit the crossbar. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski did not shine enough in this match, even though he played 90 minutes.

The goal that the hosts had been waiting for was finally created in the 82nd minute. Ilkay Gundogan cleverly sent Pedri a through ball to convert it into a goal without being able to be held by goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma.

Ferran Torres completed Barcelona's victory in the 94th minute. He ran after Lewandowski's header in the middle of Cadiz's defense, and slotted him into the visitors' goal.

Victory in Barcelona's inaugural home game this season brought the Katalan team up to fifth in the standings with four points. Meanwhile, Cadiz is stuck in 11th position with a collection of three points.

Meanwhile in another match, Atletico Madrid failed to continue the winning trend after last week beating Granada, as they were held to a goalless draw by hosts Real Betis.

Isco again performed well in Atletico's midfield, but not a single home team shot was able to become a goal.

The only good chance of the game came when Mario Hermoso forced goalkeeper Betis Rui Silva to make a save. In addition, there is not a single real threat from both teams.

These results put Atletico in fourth place in the standings with four points, while Betis is in fifth position, also with four points.

In another match, Girona gained her first win of the season after they beat their visitors Getafe with a score of 3-0.

Yangel Herrera opened Getafe's lead in the 12th minute after receiving a pass from Savio. Two other goals from Getafe were created in the second half, namely recorded by Uruguay striker Crithhian Stuani in the 55th and 65th minutes.

The result boosted Girona to third in the standings with a total of four points, while Getafe, who still has not won, stuck in 16th position with one point.
