The Parung Panjang Marathon event was held again after a 20-year hiatus. This event was also greeted enthusiastically with more than 470 participants taking part.

In this edition, Parung Panjang Marathon participants went through two routes. The first route is five kilometers from the starting point in De'Lora and finishes at the Mount Dago tourist attraction.

Then the second route is 10 kilometers away by starting from Sentraland and finishing on Mount Dago.

The head of the Islamic Middle School, Imam Syafi'i, Nurhadi Jamroni, said that school participation in this event was to measure students' abilities in athletics.

Nurhadi hopes that this competition will always be held to raise the spirit of sports in the Tarungpanjang area.

"We participated in this competition in the hope of training students' mentality and to find out the potential that students have," said Nurhadi.
