JAKARTA - Barcelona started their campaign to defend the Spanish La Liga title with disappointing results. Traveling to Getafe headquarters, the Blaugrana had to settle for going home with a point.

Barcelona failed to score in this match and the game ended 0-0.

Unfortunately for Barcelona, this three-point failure is coupled with other disaster. Raphinha and the coach, Xavi, Hernandez both got a red card.

Before getting a red card, Raphinha almost broke the deadlock of his team. However, his efforts could still be blocked by David Soria.

Raphinha didn't get a straight red card. He initially got a yellow card for protesting.

The Brazilian then immediately got a red card after being seen using his arm while fighting for the ball withtar Alvarez. His action even sparked a stir from the Getafe bench.

Barcelona actually dominated the match. The Blaugrana took the lead in possession and fired 14 shots in five from their opponents.

The visitors also thought they would get a penalty in the 12th minute. However, after referee Cesar Soto Grado checked VAR following potential violations of Gavi and Ronald Araujo, the penalty was not awarded.
