Liga 1: Pakansari Stadium Renovated, Persikabo 1973 Moves Kandang To Wibawa Mukti

JAKARTA - The 1973 Persikabo Club will begin playing at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency in the fifth week of the Indonesian League 1.

Quoted from a release received by Antara, Monday, the Chairperson of the Persikabo 1973 Implementing Committee (Panpel) Djoko Purwoko explained that Laskar Pajajaran would start their journey at Wibawa Mukti Stadium by hosting Persita Tangerang.

Djoko added that Persikabo's 1973 decision to move to a temporary cage was due to the plan to renovate the field at Pakansari Stadium where the grass would be replaced.

"We have carried out the process of using the Wibawa Mukti Stadium as a Persikabo home 1973 from permission from related agencies in Bekasi Regency to the permit process to the Police," said Djoko.

"We plan to use the Wibawa Mukti Stadium until the renovation process at Pakansari Stadium is complete. Hopefully, the second round will be returned to Pakansari Stadium," he continued.

If according to plan, it means Persikabo 1973 will hold a home party at Wibawa Mukti Stadium by hosting Persita Tangerang, Madura United, Dewa United, Persik Kediri, Persis Solo and Rans Nusantara FC.

During the 2023/24 Indonesian League 1 competition, Persikabo 1973 recorded that they had held two home matches at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor Regency to host Persija Jakarta and PSM Makassar.

In these two matches, Jose Varela and colleagues drew 0-0 against Persija Jakarta and lost 0-1 to PSM Makassar.

Now Persikabo 1973 is ranked 13th in the 2023/24 Indonesian League 1 standings with four points from four matches, with details of one win, one draw and two defeats.
