JAKARTA - A total of 27 outstanding athletes officially become state civil servants (ASN) within the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora). They took the oath of appointment on Wednesday, July 5, WIB night.
Menpora Dito Ariotedjo welcomed the joining of a number of athletes who now have the status of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
"I would like to thank the athletes for taking the opportunity to be part of the civil servant (Civil Servant) and the official family of our government," said Menpora Dito Ariotedjo in the swearing ceremony.
The 32-year-old minister said that the appointment of these outstanding athletes was a form of appreciation for their contribution that had made the country proud.
"The appointment of my brothers to become ASN is a form of attention and rewards from the government for the struggles and sweats of my brothers making Indonesia proud in the eyes of the world," he continued.
Menpora said their new status should not be a barrier to continuing to develop sports potential. Dito also invited athletes not to hesitate to contribute directly and develop better sports.
"After becoming a civil servant, brothers and sisters can still develop their potential in the field of sports as usual as athletes. I hope that when you are not active as an athlete, you will realize that you must develop potential, competence, and performance in the field of ASN which is your responsibility and career in the future," said the Minister of Youth and Sports.
