Nanda Mei Sholihah, The Beautiful Who Becomes The Mainstay Of The Indonesian Para-Atletic Team At The 2023 ASEAN Para Games

JAKARTA - Para-athletic branch is one of the hopes of the Indonesian contingent to get many gold medals at the ASEAN Para Games 2023 Cambodia. Nanda Mei Sholihah is one of the mainstay athletes from the sport.

The series of achievements achieved by the athletes made the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) plan a target of four gold medals for women's T47 running number specialists who are amputation classes under the elbows.

"The target from NPC Indonesia is four gold medals from four numbers. Personal targets are the same," said Nanda as quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 1.

Nanda is scheduled to compete in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x100m relays. The Cambodian ASEAN Para Games is the fifth participation in the biggest disability sports event in Southeast Asia.

Nanda's achievements have also increased. In APG 2014 in Naypyidaw, Myanmar, he won two silver and one bronze. Then in APG 2015 in Singapore, his achievements jumped by bringing home three gold medals.

Furthermore, APG 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he defended three gold medals. Nanda was even more empowered when appearing in APG 2022 in Solo, Central Java with four gold in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x100m relays.

"Preparation to Cambodia has been very serious, before this I also participated in the international athletics championship in Dubai and won a bronze medal," said Nanda.

In the T47 number, said the athlete who was born on May 17, 1999, the toughest competitor was a representative from Thailand. Even so, he remains optimistic that he can achieve the best results in the 12th edition of the APG.

"I've been training hard, physically ready, just prepare mentally when competing. The rest, the target of four gold medals is optimistic that it will be fulfilled," said the UNS FKOR student.

The athlete from Kediri is also determined to improve his time record. In the 100m number, he wanted to surpass 12.8 seconds when competing in the 2022 APG.

"Then also in the 200m number with 27.35 seconds and 400m with 63 seconds," said the eldest daughter of the Supriyanto and Rini Suwarni couple.

As is known, the 2023 ASEAN Para Games at Phnom Penh, Cambodia, June 3-9. Para-athletics became the medal barn because overall, these sports targeted 39 gold, 25 silver and 25 bronze medals.
