Finally Bayern Munich Returns To Top Position After Beating Hertha Berlin 2-0

Bayern Munich returned to the top position of the German League standings after beating Hertha Berlin 2-0 in the 30th week at the Allianz Arena Stadium, Munich, Sunday.

In this match Bayern Munich's victory came thanks to goals scored by Serge Gnarby and Kingsley Coman, according to the German League records.

This victory led Bayern Munich to first place in the German League standings with 62 points from 30 matches, overtaking Borussia Dortmund, who previously drew 1-1 against Bochum. This was reported by Antara.

On the other hand, Hertha Berlin is sinking at the bottom of the German League standings with 22 points, six points clear of the safe zone occupied by Vfb Stuttgart.

Bayern Munich dominated the game by recording 82 percent possession and releasing 26 kicks, nine of which were on target.

Even so, Bayern could only get a chance when the game had entered the 35th minute through a kick released by Kingsley Coman, but the ball was blocked by goalkeeper Hertha Oliver Christensen.

Thomas Tuchel's squad continues to pose a threat, this time through a kick released by Serge Gnarby, but the ball can be kept away again by Christensen.

Towards the end of the first half, Bayern again had a chance with a header released by Sadio Mane, but the ball was still sideways from Hertha's goal. The same score 0-0 lasted until halftime.

Furthermore, in the second half Bayern did not relax their attacks and again threatened through Mane's kick which still bounced slightly over the crossbar.

10 minutes later, Bayern managed to increase their lead to 2-0 after Kimmich returned to sending a pass that could be converted into a goal by Coman.

Towards the end of the match, Bayern almost added the lead to 3-0, but Christensen's Joao Cancelo's shot was blocked so that the score of 2-0 lasted until the long whistle sounded.

Furthermore, Bayern Munich will travel to Werder Bremen's headquarters in the 31st week of the German League, Saturday (6/5), while Hertha Berlin will host Vfb Stuttgart, on the same day.
