Derek Chisora And Dilian Whyte Are Negotiating For Trilogy

JAKARTA - Heavyweight challenger Derek Chisora is reportedly making negotiations against his old rival, Dillian Whyte. If that happens then it will be their trilogy duel.

The Daily Mail reports that the negotiation process between the two boxers is currently underway. Each of them even wanted the deal to be reached immediately.

The two heavyweight boxers from England had previously met twice, respectively in 2016 and 2018 ago. Whyte won both duels, winning points in the first clashes and knockout (KO) in the second meeting.

The two performed their best fight in 2016 which took place excitingly. Whyte finally came out victorious in a controversial split decision.

However, Whyte then managed to prove himself worthy of being the winner in their rematch two years later. He won a brutal knockout through a left hook in the 11th round.

After both fights, well-known boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has always left the door open for a trilogy fight for the two boxers. Hearn previously also opened the door for their rematch.

On the other hand, Chisora, 38, and Whyte, 34, are also equally excited about trilogy. They even opened the door to bring their competition to mixed martial arts arts (MMA) arenas.

Whyte last fought last November against Jermaine Franklin. Victory over Franklin makes him believe he can hold a rematch against Anthony Joshua.

However, the fight against Joshua has not materialized until now. Joshua, 33, who recently lost his third career in August last year against Oleksandr Usyk, actually made a comeback against Franklin early next month.

Meanwhile, Chisora faced Tyson Fury, 34, in December in their trilogy match. However, he had to re-accept his third defeat against the boxer nicknamed the King ofTEN.
