Official Handover Process As Plt Menpora, Muhadjir Effendy: Hopefully My Task Will Not Be More Difficult

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), Muhadjir Effendy officially served as Acting Minister of Youth and Sports (Plt Menpora). The handover process (Sertijab) also took place on Thursday, March 16.

The Sertijab agenda took place at Wisma Kemenpora, Senayan, Central Jakarta, starting at 10.30 WIB. Muhadjir Effendy welcomed his new assignment.

He also asks for support and direction so that he can carry out his duties properly.

"I ask for support to continue what Zainudin Amali started and did and of course also from the previous minister who was very good. Therefore, I ask for cooperation until a definitive replacement for him (Menpora) arrives," Muhadjir Effendy opened in his speech.

On the same occasion, Muhadjir Effendy tried to present a relaxed atmosphere. He hoped that it would not be heavier than what Zainudin Amali had carried.

"I think when I became Acting Minister, I hope my task is not too difficult," said Muhadjir, laughing.

"Hopefully it won't take long (to serve as Plt), because the sooner the better, because I also have a lot of tasks from the president," he continued.

Even though it was conveyed in a relaxed manner, Muhadjir Effendy called this expression based on the existing situation. He believes the task will not be more difficult because so far Zainudin Amali has built a working environment and left a competent team.

"I believe in the team that Zainudin Amali has built at the Ministry of Youth and Sport, which is compact, prioritizes national and national interests, and has behaved well so far," said Muhadjir.

"I express my deepest gratitude to Zainudin Amali for carrying out his duties as Menpora with full responsibility," he continued.

Previously, Zainudin Amali resigned from his position as Menpora after being elected as Deputy Chair of PSSI to accompany Erick Thohir. In writing, his resignation was submitted directly to the Ministry of State Secretary (Kemensetneg) on ​​Thursday, March 9, and was approved by the president.
