Erik Ten Hag Ensures Eriksen Can Play Before The End Of The Season

JAKARTA - Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag confirmed that Christian Eriksen could still play again before this season ends. The Danish midfielder has been absent since January after suffering an ankle ligament injury due to being tackled by the striker Reading, Andy Carroll in the FA Cup match which MU won with a score of 3-1.Eriksen was originally expected to miss the remainder of the season because it would only recover from late April or early May. However, Ten Hag said that the player could recover faster than expected. "I think he will play (this season), yes it could be," Ten Hag was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail as reported by Antara, Saturday, March 11.

However, Ten Hag was reluctant to determine when Eriksen could play again. "However, I can't say for sure. I think the recovery process went smoothly and as planned, so we'll see him play again, but not before the international break (March 2023)."

Christian Eriksen has played 31 times this season with two goals and nine assists since signing from Brentford at the start of the 2022/23 season. Chirstian Eriksen immediately became Erik ten Hag's mainstay for the Manchester United team's midfield since joining, giving him a balance in the midfield of the English club.
