Kyle Walker Threatened To Fail To Extend Contract With Man City For Drunken And Kissing A Woman At A Bar

JAKARTA Manchester City player Kyle Walker is in danger of not being offered a new contract after being caught on CCTV acting indecently drunk at a bar.

The consequences of this act made the Cheshire police, England, have started an investigation since yesterday, Wednesday. Authorities confiscated CCTV as evidence to strengthen the investigation.

Walker did indecent acts when he was drunk at a Revolution bar at Wilmslow, Cheshire. A video clip shows the 32-year-old scratched a woman and kissed her.

Police have reportedly asked for information from staff at the bar Walker visited with two women and a male friend. The visit was carried out between 17.20 and 19.00 on Sunday local time.

Women's Aid as a federation that routinely campaigns for anti-violence in households said the indecent act Walker was a serious problem.

"If employers, including football clubs, do not take this matter seriously, it will send a clear message regarding acceptable behavior," they said.

If found guilty, Walker could be convicted of violating decency in public. It is a violation of general law that can be subject to fines and imprisonment.

Walker's Manchester City has so far refused to respond publicly to the scandal. The Premier League defending champion insisted that what their players were doing was a personal matter.

City said Walker personally did not violate club regulations at all even though there was recorded evidence that clearly indicated the indecent act was carried out by their players.

However, this issue led club officials to cancel talks about extending the player's contract. Walker is scheduled to negotiate today regarding the new agreement until June 2024.

A source said the player now seemed more worried about failing to negotiate with the club than threats he might receive.

"He doesn't seem worried about the shame this has on his family, clubs, and fans. What he seems really worried about is that this case undermines his chances of getting a contract extension," the source said.
