League Results 1: Blunder Fatal Teja Paku Alam And Reky Rahayu Make Persib Bandung Fail To Stick To PSM Makassar

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung received bitter results in the continued match of Liga 1 Indonesia 2022/2023 when playing away to Barito Putera headquarters.

The team nicknamed Maung Bandung actually dreamed of the home team before suffering a 1-2 defeat at the Demang Lehman Stadium, Banjarmasin, Monday, February 27 evening WIB.

Persib Bandung took the lead through David Da Silva when the game had only been running for 20 minutes. The Brazilian broke into Barito's goal after maximizing Beckham Putra's pass.

Host Barito Putera then returned two goals in the second half to secure three points. The two winning goals were scored by Renan Alves (65') and Gustavo Henrique (79'), respectively.

This defeat could not be separated from the fatal blunder by the Persib goalkeeper, Teja Paku Alam. The moment occurred during the first half normal match with one minute remaining.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper was kicked out by the referee after hitting the ball outside the penalty box when he was about to do clearance. The field taker immediately issued a red card.

Reky Rahayu, who came in as a substitute for Teja, was also recorded as making a blunder in this match. He failed to anticipate the ball which led to a equalizer goal from Barito.

This pointless result made Persib fail to cut points with PSM Makassar at the top of the standings. Maung Bandung is currently still four points behind Juku Eja.

Persis Solo must also feel defeat when facing Bali United. Two penalties were awarded to each team in the match that Bali won with a score of 3-1.

This result makes Bali United now collect 46 points from 26 matches. They are still 10 points adrift of PSM with the same number of matches.
