Enlivening The Tennis World, Here's The Davis Cup 2023 Schedule

YOGYAKARTA – The World Tennis Federation (ITF) is again holding the Davis Cup 2023 tennis tournament at the international level. This competition was attended by many countries, including Indonesia. VOI will provide information regarding the latest Davis Cup 2023 schedule.

The Davis Cup 2023 qualifying rounds will be held on February 3-5 while the finals are scheduled to roll out in November.

This tournament is a team tennis competition participated by various countries around the world. Meanwhile, this year the Davis Cup was attended by 155 countries. The participants will take part in a series of competitions based on their level.

In the qualifying tournament, there will be five matches over two days. On the first day, there will be two stays, while on the second day, there will be doubles and two singles tournaments.

In order to participate in this tournament, the Indonesian national tennis team is currently in Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam, where the tournament is being held. Indonesia faced host Vietnam in the World Group II Davis Cup play-off round. The winner will remain in World Group II, while the losers will be degraded to Group III in the Asia Oceania Zone.

The tennis players who participated in the group were Christopher Ruangkat, Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi, Anthony Susanto, and David Agung Susanto. They immediately held training with other players on the court at Hanaka Paris Ocean Park.

Besides that, there is Nathan Anthony Barki. However, he was the last tennis player to join the Garuda squad in Vietnam because he had experienced pain when he won his first ITF doubles title in Jakarta last week. For now, the Indonesian national team is complete and ready to take part in the match.

As is known, the Indonesian national team will directly face the host Vietnam in the Davis Cup World Group II Play-Offs. In the history of the match between Indonesia and Vietnam, Indonesia had recorded an unsatisfactory record in the competition for the world men's team tennis supremacy symbol. Vietnam itself has successfully recorded two wins in two meetings, namely in Saigon 1970 and Solo 2016.

But outside of the Davis Cup competition, Indonesia once defeated Vietnam in the first round of the 2022 SEA Games men's team which was then held at the same stadium where the 2023 Davis Cup was held.
