JAKARTA Former fifth division world champion Floyd Mayweather will be in the ring next month against MMA fighter who is also the reality show star Geordie Shore, Aaron Chalmers.

Mayweather made an announcement on social media and confirmed that the fight will take place on February 25 at the O2 Arena, London, England.

"London. This is my first time showing my ability directly on February 25. I want the whole UK to be at the O2 Arena," he wrote, reported by The Sun.

Mayweather, 46, is actually scheduled to meet kickboxing fighter Liam Harrison. However, Harrison is still recovering from injury so he is not ready to fight.

Harrison had a knee problem and had to undergo surgery. Harrison's resignation, which was contracted by One Championship, forced Mayweather to look for a new opponent.

"Different face, different name, the same result. London!! We will still appear on February 25 at the O2 Arena. Tickets will be sold soon. Wait!!" added Mayweather.

Mayweather, 45, retired with a perfect professional record of 50-0 wins. He hung up his boxing gloves after his win over UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017.

Since then Mayweather has been no stranger to exhibition fights. He is recorded to be fighting against WWE star Logan Paul and kickboxing legend Tenshin Nasukawa.

Mayweather's last win came against KSI's brother, Deji, in November last year. However, he is arguably facing his toughest exhibition against Chalfers later.

Chalmers, 35, plunged into the MMA world with a BAMMA mixed martial arts promotion company in 2017 before becoming a Bellator star.

Chalmers won five of their seven professional games before retiring in 2021 after losing to Austin Clem.

However, now he is ready to step into the world of boxing with passion against Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers ever.
