India Open 2023: The Battle Of Three Games Ends Anthony Ginting In The Semifinals

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's singles, Anthony Ginting, managed to advance to the semifinals of the India Open 2023. Appearing as the opening representative of Indonesia, he succeeded in lowering Chinese representatives through a three-game battle.

Appearing at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Friday, January 20 afternoon WIB, Ginting ended Li Shi Feng's resistance within 65 minutes. He closed the fight against representatives of the Bamboo Curtain Country with a score of 21-11, 17-21, and 21-18.

At the beginning of the first quarter-final game, Ginting's movement had no trouble. The sixth seed dominated the opponent from the start point and continued until the interval with a score of 11-8.

After Ginting's break, he was more confident. He closed this with a 21-11 victory.

In the second gum, his efforts were met with resistance from Li Shi Feng. Although Ginting secured two points first at the beginning, his effort could be pursued in the second interval with a score of 11-9.

The moment behind Ginting was put to good use by Li Shi Feng. He read the pattern of opponents and succeeded in keeping his points from being overtaken until he won 21-17 from Ginting in the second half.

This draw situation forced the game to continue into the third game to determine the winner. Not wanting to repeat the mistake, Ginting has implemented focus since the first point.

His efforts bore fruit because he could lead by two points first, but it did not last long because there was a chase for points ahead of the third interval. Even though it was tight pasted, Ginting was 11-10 ahead of Li Shi Feng.

After the third break, Ginting took advantage of his previous advantage to slowly collect points. The effort was successful because after the break, the opponent was overwhelmed and far behind with the final score 21-18.

Ginting's move was not easy in the next round. In the semifinals he will face the winner between Kunlavut Vitidsarn and Loh Kean Yew who are the 8th and 3rd seeds.
