Those Who Are Starting To Withdraw From PSSI, Starting From Iwan Budianto To Iwan Bule, So The Rest?

JAKARTA - PSSI will select a new management. The Indonesian football parent will have a general chairman, deputy general chairman, and a new executive committee at the Extraordinary Congress, next February.

Many hope that there will be a new face that will lead PSSI in the 2023-2027 period. Hopes that seem to be possible are realized.

The reason is, a number of old administrators have announced that they will no longer advance.

The first is Iwan Budianto. The current deputy chairman of PSSI has stated that he will not run again. He does not want to nominate or be nominated in the election later.

The reason is because of the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Malang Stadium which took many victims. He felt unfavorable and unethical if he returned to the Exco PSSI.

"That's why I don't want to nominate and are not willing to be nominated," said Iwan on PSSI's official website.

Interestingly, the name Iwan Budianto still appeared when the Electoral Committee announced the new PSSI management exchange. Either he ran for office or was nominated.

It is interesting to wait for the words of Arema FC officials to be proven.

Furthermore, the chairman of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, took the same step. The man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule will also no longer run as the chairman of PSSI 2023-2027.

He felt that his service to PSSI had been quite optimal. The former West Java Police Chief has given his thoughts, time and material to be dedicated to PSSI.

"I have decided that, I will no longer run in the nomination as general chairman in the KLB later. However, I will continue to work and oversee the KLB process so that it can be carried out in safe, comfortable and smooth conditions for all voters," he said.

Not wanting to be left behind, the CEO of PSIS Semarang, Yoyok Sukawi also followed in the footsteps of two of his colleagues. He said his duties at PSSI had been completed.

Yoyok now chooses to focus on raising his club, PSIS Semarang.

"For me, the task is a mandate. This mandate has been completed and I feel that it is enough to serve at PSSI. I want to focus on the region, to PSIS Semarang so that it can return to its glory," said Yoyok.

Meanwhile, the member of the Exco PSSI who is also not going forward is Haruna Soemitro. The Madura United official also feels that he has played quite a role in the national football parent.

So what about the rest? There has been no official statement from other Exco PSSI members whether to follow in the footsteps of the ketum and waketum or choose to continue to maintain their positions.
