Serbian National Team Is Rumored To Be Rentak: Vlahovic Accused Of Sleeping On Rajkovic's Wife, Guidelj Gauli Jovic's Partner

JAKARTA - Serbia will face Switzerland in Group G of the 2022 World Cup on Friday and must win to advance to the round of 16. However, in the midst of preparations ahead of the important match, there was news about the rift in the team from the dispute.

Richard Wilson, a British journalist, accused Dusan Vlahovic of having an affair with his teammate's wife, Predrag Rajkovic, during the team's training camp. That said, this is what caused the Juventus striker to be thrown onto the bench after being expected to start.

In a recent press conference, Vlahovic defended the allegations.

"I'm sorry to have started a press conference at the World Cup in this way, but I have to talk about it because this is my name being discussed," Vlahovic was quoted as saying by Marca on Thursday.

"What we all read and hear, there is no need to comment on something so absurd.

"Obviously these people are bored and there is nothing better to do because they are frustrated or angry, but working against the team's national interests right now is their main job right now."

Allegations about the changing room don't stop there. The journalist added that Nemanja Guidelj was also suspected of sleeping with Luka Jovic's partner, Sofija Milosevic. The affair, he said, ended in a fight between the two during a training session.

"I am ready to defend my name legally, if necessary. What is said to be a lie and the atmosphere in the team is very good," added Vlahovic. "Our goal now is a match against Switzerland and it is very sad there is talk of anything else."

The striker played 24 minutes against Brazil in the first match of Group G and was then backed up against Cameroon. Aleksandar Mitrovic became the mainstay of Serbia's attack as well as sent Vlahovic to the bench. Something he didn't expect before the World Cup started.
