Van Gaal's Obstacle Moment When TELLing Dutch Players Who Are Not Entrance Of Qatar's 2022 World Cup Squad: Some Are Defenders!

JAKARTA - The Dutch national team coach, Louis van Gaal, made a surprise when he released his squad for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. He left a number of names that were previously predicted to be brought.

Those who were not called were Ryan Gravenberch, Donyell Malen, Arnaut Danjuma, Donny van de Beek,

The former Manchester United coach felt awkward when he contacted eleven players who were not called up via FaceTime. "It was never easy to give a message to the players that they were not in the squad," said Van Gaal, as reported by the Daily Mail, Sunday, November 13, 2022.

"I spent an hour 45 minutes totally explaining my decision to the player via FaceTime. It's not an easy task."

"I should also consider that some players are in England. Obviously there is a time difference. I saw some naked players because they were still in bed or just woke up," he continued.

Meanwhile, Van Gaal also did not bring Georginio Wijnaldum who was still injured. However, Van Gaal still has other experienced players, namely Stefan de Vrij, Daley Blind and Memphis Depay.
