Persipura Continue To Exercise Together When Other Clubs Have Their Holidays

JAKARTA - Persipura Jayapura continues to undergo joint training when other clubs choose to take a day off due to the absence of competition for the rest of this year. Liga 1 Indonesia is scheduled to be held in February.

Quoted by Antara from the official website of the Indonesian League, Thursday, this joint training was deliberately held so that the players' conditions remained ideal. In addition, as a form of professionalism for coaches and players who are still under contract until the end of December.

"If we actually keep practicing regularly, all of us, including the players, have contracts until December so we carry out our obligations," said Persipura coach Jacksen F. Tiago.

It is planned that the Persipura players will undergo routine activities until 17 December. After that the coach team and players were given one week off to celebrate Christmas.

"We plan to practice until the 17th, because many of our players are Christian, so we will give one week to celebrate Christmas and gather with family," he said.

The Brazilian passport coach also revealed that he was in constant communication regarding the training program with all his players. If there is good input, it will be considered in order to determine the ideal program.

"We continue to communicate with the players, when the coaching team has a plan we tell the players to find out if there is input from the players. Because it is valuable for us to make changes and the players agree on that. One of them is that we continue to practice regularly," he said.

Liga 1 Indonesia itself is planned to take place in early February. Previously, the competition had been postponed several times because it did not get permission from the police due to the massive COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
