IBL Indonesia Cup 2022, Ajang Unjuk Gigi Pemain Lokal

JAKARTA - The IBL Indonesia Cup 2022 pre-season tournament will start from November 4-13 at the Sritex Arena, Solo. Not only as an additional event ahead of the new season, this tournament will be a moment for local basketball players to show off.

This was conveyed by the President Director of IBL, Junas Miradiarsyah. Of the 15 clubs that will appear, all of them will show the best performance of Indonesian stars.

"This is the best event for local players and 15 IBL clubs ahead of the 2023 Competition season in January. This will also be the spirit of advancing Indonesian basketball through competitive matches," Junas said during a press conference session in South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 26 afternoon.

Solo was deliberately chosen as the location for the event. According to Junas, the city has high enthusiasm for basketball.

"People's enthusiasm for basketball is high there (Solo). Especially now that they have a team, West Bandits," he said.

"Support from the Solo city government for the implementation of the Indonesian Cup is also very good. They fully support this activity," he concluded.

The IBL Indonesia Cup 2022 event, which is also a precession, is a moment to increase the number of play for each team and player during the regular round season. So far, records have increased from 97 matches to 176 matches.

The IBL Indonesia Cup 2022 tournament format will divide 15 clubs into four groups in the preliminary round. The group division was used to determine which teams were entitled to advance to the next round.
