JAKARTA - Slap Championships are likely to be held in Las Vegas. The reason is, Schiafto LLC, a company managed by UFC President Dana White and former UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, want to take the competition to Nevada.

A discussion will be held the day after tomorrow at the Nevada Athletics Commission (NAC) to determine whether "the contest or exhibition is eligible as an unarmed battle... and is therefore under the jurisdiction of the Nevada Athletics Commission," as defined by law.

According to MMA Junkie, Monday, Nevada business license seeker SilverFlume, White and Fertitta, as well as COO UFC Lawrence Epstein and producer "The Ultimate Fighter" Craig Piligian, are registered as LLC managers.

So far, the MMA site specifically notes that it is still unclear how far this promotion is and the proposed rules will deviate from traditional slap competitions.

While there has been no official announcement from any UFC affiliate recently on Instagram, White hinted at his involvement in the slapping competition.

It is known, this competition gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic through viral internet videos.

Regularly, this competition consists of two competitors who stand in reach of each other's hands. The two fighters took turns beating his opponent in the face with open arms.

The competition will be discontinued if one of the participants loses consciousness, detailing MMA Junkie.

The outlet also added that perhaps the most prominent US promotion to date is the Slap Fighting Championship, which promotional videos say on its official website, since 2017 have held events at "disclosed locations" across the country.

Several slap championships have been hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Logan Paul.
