JAKARTA - Mike Tyson was reportedly involved in an argument with a fan following his exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr on Saturday night.

Tyson, 54, was held to a draw by Jones when he returned to the ring at the weekend. This is the first time he has worn gloves since another series of exhibitions in 2006.

However after playing his part in an 8 round fight at the Staples Center, TMZ Sports claims 'Iron' Mike almost got into a second fight when he left the arena.

The American outlet reported that an overzealous fan tried to hit Tyson in Los Angeles, before being detained by members of his entourage.

It is believed that the undisputed former heavyweight champion first met the small group of fans asking for autographs upon exiting the Staples Center.

As he walked over to give some autographs, a man in the crowd reportedly called out to ask why Tyson wouldn't fight him.

Tyson is said to have responded lightly, joking with the man that it wouldn't end well for him.

TMZ claims the supporter then swung a punch at Tyson, before being seen grabbing something from his belt - as if trying to pull out a gun.

But fortunately, the boxing legends team was quick to act before things took a turn for the worse.

One of the members of Tyson's entourage reportedly recognized the fan in an earlier autograph session which was also trying to cause trouble.

It is known that the police were summoned for the incident. However all parties had left and no reports had been taken by the time they arrived at the scene.
