The Presence Of A Coach From Canada Makes Indonesian Talentboxer More Melasive

JAKARTA - Two potential boxers belonging to Indonesia, Jon Jet and Ilham Leoisa, are increasing in ability. This cannot be separated from the presence of Canadian coach David John Treharnem.

Thanks to David John's remarks, the two boxers are now more mature and more ready to face the WBC Asia title race at the Wold Siam Stadium, Bangkapi, Bangkok, Thailand, October 14.

David John said that when he first saw Jon and Ilham, he wasn't sure the two boxers were ready to fight in the race for the title. However, now his views are much different.

"They want to work hard and have shown a rapid increase in the second week," said David John, as reported by Antara.

"With the current conditions, I'm sure they won't have any trouble fighting eight rounds and defeating their opponents," he continued.

Jon admitted to getting new knowledge from the coach. Not only technique, but also strategy.

He admitted that the training in the first week was tough. "But after that the benefits are felt very good," said Jon.

Please note, Jon will face Yutthichai Wannawong for the WBC Asia Continental super bantamweight title.

Meanwhile, Ilham will compete with Poramin Saengpak for a similar vacant title in the welter division.

XBX Sportech CEO Urgyen Rinchen Sim, as the promoter of the two, said the reason for choosing an experienced and ranked opponent was much better for Jon.

"This is so that our boxers can improve their abilities and mental skills. If they win from a better boxer, his ranking will also increase," said the man who is familiarly called Simon.

"Later on, they will be ready to fight at the highest level. All of these are processes that must be carried out because we don't want to be instant," he continued.
