World Ranking Apriyani/Fadia Continues To End, Now Already Establish Position 26 Of The World

JAKARTA - The BWF ranking pair Apriyani Rahayu / Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti continues to increase. This time, the Indonesian women's doubles position rose by two places from the 28th position.

Based on the latest ranking list released by the Badminton International Federation (BWF) on Tuesday, September 27 yesterday, Apri/Fadia now occupy 26th position. They collected 45,690 points.

The rapid increase in Apri/Fadia rankings since making debuts and winning gold medals at the Hanoi SEA Games, Vietnam, last May.

Both of them were first ranked 210th after becoming runners-up for the Indonesia Masters 2022 last June. They then entered the top 100 in the world after reaching the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open in the same month.

The second position rose significantly after winning the Malaysia Open 2022 by defeating a series of leadings. They then got the top 50 positions after winning the Singapore Open.

Not only Apri/Fadia, but the Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi pair also felt the increase in ranking in the latest ranking list. An additional two rankings took them up to 33 in the world.

Meanwhile, the dominance of Japanese women's doubles is now starting to fade. They began to be overshadowed by Korean players who emerged into new world women's doubles powers.

Currently, the two Korean women's doubles cast a shadow over the world's number one women's doubles from China Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan. Kim So-yeong/Kong Hee-yong have the opportunity to shift the world's number one women's doubles from China.

Because the difference in points from these two doubles is not too far away. In the third place in the Korean doubles world, Lee So Hee/Shin Seung Chan also had the opportunity to prevent Chen/Jia.

As for one other pair of Korean doubles, Jeong Na Eun/Kim Hye Jeong is in ninth place.
