Former Persib Bandung Player Atep Joins Persika 1951

KARAWANG - Former Persib Bandung player, Atep, officially joined Persika 1951, a football club from Karawang Regency which this season is playing in League 3 West Java.

"It is hoped that Atep's presence will be able to motivate young players," said Persika 1951 manager Sutrisna, quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, September 18.

Atep was introduced by management to the public at the launch of Persika 1951 today.

According to Sutrisna, in Liga 3 regulations, clubs are required to register players with a maximum birth of January 1, 2000, and are given a quota of five senior players or players under the birth of 2000.

"Of the five seniors, a maximum of three players can be played in a match. So Atep's presence is to provide motivation," he said.

In addition, Atep's experience, who won Liga 1 when he was in Persib Bandung uniform in 2014, became a plus point for guiding the young Persika 1951 players.

"We use 70 percent of players who were born in Karawang," he said.

He conveyed that management gave the team a target to be able to qualify for the next phase in the West Java 3 Series 1 League competition.

"We also have a target to immediately return to competing in League 2," said Sutrisna.
