JAKARTA - Coach Shin Tae-yong is both happy and proud of the 4-0 victory of the U-19 national team over Timor Leste in the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers. However, the South Korean coach was not careless and still had a special note.

"There are several notes about things that are seen as lacking but proud that players can work optimally," said Shin Tae-yong in a statement after the match.

The U-19 national team underwent their first match of qualifying for the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup by facing Timor Leste at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, East Java. At the meeting on Wednesday night, Shin Tae-yong's team showed a slick appearance.

Able to show dominance from the start of the match, Garuda Muda was also able to enliven the scoreboard with a hat-trick record from Hokky Carakan. In addition, Rabbani Tasnim Siddiq also helped complete the victory with a score of 4-0.

Even though it has been satisfying, Shin Tae-yong still pays attention to how his foster children appear on the field. One of them is about three Indonesian goals created from headers.

This is of concern to the coach ahead of the next match against Hong Kong. Because, according to Shin Tae-yong, the same opportunity will be difficult to happen in the upcoming match because the opposing player has a higher posture.
