Champions League Result Recap: Milan, City and Madrid Win, Juventus Defeated

JAKARTA - AC Milan successfully won 3-1 over Dinamo Zagreb in matchday 2 of Champions League Group E at the San Siro, Wednesday night.

Olivier Giroud, Alexis Saelemaekers and Tommaso Pobega scored the three winning goals for Milan. Meanwhile, Dinamo Zagreb had time to reduce the lag through Mislav Orsic's goal.

Thanks to this result, Milan temporarily has the right to top Group E with 4 points. Dinamo Zagreb itself ranks second with 3 points.

Citing Antara, Milan tried to appear aggressive since the beginning of the first half. Brahim Diaz several times tried to dismantle the defense of Dinamo Zagreb. However, no goals have been scored from the hosts.

Dinamo Zagreb also had time to endanger Mike Maignan's goal through the actions of Sadegh Moharrami and Orsic. Unfortunately, the final settlement of the two is still not optimal.

In the 43rd minute, Milan received a penalty after Rafael Leao was violated by Josip Sutalo in the forbidden box. Giroud, who advanced as the executor, successfully outwitted Dominik Livakovic. Score 1-0 closed the first half.

Milan managed to double their lead a minute after the second half started.

Leao dribbled down the left to cross Saelemaekers' header in front of Livakovic's goal. Position to 2-0.

Behind two goals did not make Dinamo Zagreb just give up. Orsic scored in the 56th minute to close the gap.

Orsic stabbed in from the left and hit a one-two with Bruno Petkovic, before his left-footed shot beat Maignan at the far post. The score becomes 2-1.

Dinamo Zagreb opportunity to equalize had appeared. However, Milan was able to get back away after Pobega successfully broke into the visitors' goal in the 77th minute.

Pobega started the attack with a pass to Leao who gave it straight to Theo who ran to the edge of the box.

Theo provided a pull pass which was completed with Pobega's left-footed shot into the top corner of the goal.

No additional goals were created in the remaining matches. The 3-1 score for Milan's victory was the final result of this match.
