Lionel Messi Rarely Plays Full 90 Minutes, PSG Coach Gets Sprayed Argentine Players

JAKARTA - Argentina international Alexis Mac Allister urged Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Christophe Galtier to always play Lionel Messi in full in every game.

Messi has only played a full 90 minutes in one of PSG's last four games. Most recently La Pulga was pulled out by the coach when they faced Juventus in the European Champions League on Wednesday this week.

Mac Allister believes Galtier's decision clearly makes the former Barcelona superstar unhappy. For that, he also asked Galtier to always allow Messi to play until the game was over.

"I hope he (Galtier) stops replacing it (Messi) and keeps it on the pitch because all we all want to do is see him play. You can see his reaction when they pull him out", Allister said, quoted by ESPN.

Messi, who moved from Barcelona to PSG last year, started his second season well in France. His appearance began to improve since Galtier's arrival on Les Parisiens' body.

The 35-year-old started eight Les Parisian games in all competitions this season. In addition, he has also scored four goals and recorded six assists.

However, Galtier seems to want to arrange Messi's playing time to prevent injuries. The reason is, that La Pulga will be the mainstay of the Argentine national team in the 2022 Qatar World Cup in November.

The year's World Cup will certainly be Messi's last chance. He is now 35 years old so it is a bit impossible to see him appear again in the next edition of the 2026 World Cup.

To that end, Messi is likely to put all of his best abilities into helping La Albiceleste become the champion before they failed in Brazil's 2014 World Cup final.
