Give World Eye Impressions, MXGP Samota-Sumbawa Sabet Award At The 2022 MXGP Awards

JAKARTA - The Samota-Sumbawa Motocross World Championships (MXGP) series which took place on June 25-26 gave a good impression in the eyes of the international community, thus receiving an award for the MXGP Best Media Opportunity category at the 2022 MXGP Awards in Turkey, last Sunday local.

Reported by Antara from the official MXGP website, Monday, the awarding night was attended by Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo and International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) President Jorge Viegas.

Although this is the first time it has started, Sumbawa is considered capable of holding a 12th series at the MXGP Samota-Sumbawa Rocket Motor Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) well.

NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah in his official Instagram account uploaded a video clip of the award and congratulated the people of Sumbawa.

"Congratulations to Samota MXGP for receiving the world award. Congratulations to friends, the Sumbawa Regency Government who welcomed the extraordinary guests, leaving an extraordinary impression and hard to forget," said Zulkieflimansyah as quoted by Antara. This award night also closed the series of 2022 MXGP races. The Slovak Gajser team who won the world as well as swept away two Samota-Sumbawa MXGP races was named the best racer this year.

When the Samota-Sumbawa MXGP series took place on June 25-26, various compliments were released. At that time, the Director of the FIM Motocross Commission, Antonio Alia Portela, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Indonesian people.

"Thank you with all the preparations and all the welcome from the Indonesian people. Two years after the COVID-19 pandemic, the MXGP series returns to Indonesia and we really hope to be back next year," said Portela.

David Luongo also said that the MXGP event in Indonesia is always special. Especially with the presence of a new circuit, the beautiful Rocket Motor Circuit MXGP Samota-Sumbawa.

"We don't have the most beautiful locations besides Samota. The circuit is very beautiful and beautiful. Thank you to all those who have prepared this event, even for a short time. We are proud and feel accepted like family. We hope this event will continue in the following years," said David Luongo.

MXGP Samota-Sumbawa received both attention at home and abroad because after 2019 it was finally able to be held in the Asian region with Indonesia being the host.
