JAKARTA - Boxing promoter Frank Warren has announced that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will face off in an undisputed heavyweight fight.

Last weekend, Usyk successfully won a rematch against Anthony Joshua (AJ) in Saudi Arabia by double decision.

With the win, the Ukrainian can now look forward to a tantalizing fight against WBC champion Fury, who revealed at the weekend that he is willing to end his retirement to fight Usyk.

Warren, who has supported Fury since his comeback in 2018, insists the fight between Gypsy King and Usyk must be real.

"He and Usyk are going to be a very good fight. It's a fight I think it will be because both teams want it to happen," Warren told the BBC quoted by Marca on Wednesday.

"Usyk said after the fight that (against Fury) it was the only fight he was interested in, and it must have been the same case with Tyson (Fury)," Warren added.

"It's just a matter of where it will generate the most revenue because it's a unique fight, a historic fight."

"This is the first time God knows how long the four belts are at stake," he said. "Both boxers are invincible. The whole boxing world will be blown away by this fight."

Warren added that AJ still has a chance against Fury if he recovers from his two defeats at the hands of Usyk.

"If AJ manages to get a few wins under his belt - and I'm sure Tyson will beat Usyk - it's probably the fight to be had," the promoter said.

"But AJ has to rebuild himself before you can even think of a fight like that."

In 33 fights for Fury and 20 for Usyk, they are both unbeaten in professional competition.

While AJ's two defeats against Usyk occurred after Andy Ruiz Jr. shocked the world by KOing the British fighter in 2019. So far, AJ has suffered three defeats.
