For The First Time In Indonesia, 2x2 Battle Basketball Competition Becomes An Event To Find Young Talents

JAKARTA - Basketball in Indonesia is booming. After the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 ended successfully, in the future there will be the FIBA World Cup event which will be held in 2023.

To enliven the country's basketball industry, TNBT Corp held a competition titled 2x2 Battle. This is the first time a 2x2 event has been held in Indonesia.

Event 2x2 Battle is a tournament that is open to men's and women's basketball players in the U18 and Open categories. They will compete for a total prize of Rp. 500 million.

The preliminary round of the 2x2 Battle event will be held in three cities, namely Jakarta (30 August-4 September), Bandung (15 September) and Surabaya (6 October to 09 October). Meanwhile, the grand final will be held in Surabaya from October 13 to October 16.

"By holding a 2x2 Battle competition, apart from being a place to screen basketball talents that are still hidden out there," said 2x2 Battle Founder and CEO of TNBT Corp, Dina Carol.

"I hope this event can give a new breath to basketball in Indonesia, so that it can maintain the achievements of the Indonesian basketball team at the SEA Games, and even exceed them," he continued.

Not only that, Dina hopes that this activity can also have a sustainable impact on the world of national basketball and its derivative industry. "At the same time providing positive progress for the national economy," he said.

This 2x2 Battle event is called the safest and in accordance with health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reason is, this event does not involve many players to compete, which is only two people for one team.

Not only presenting 2x2 matches, this activity will also be enlivened with Slam Dunk, 3 Point, Freestyle basketball, Free Style Dance Battle competitions and several other events.
