Finally, after various efforts, we were able to realize our ambition to hold this championship", said PP PBSI General Chair, Agung Firman Sampurna, in Jakarta, Monday quoted by Antara.

In addition to enlivening the badminton competition in the country, the President's Cup also aims to attract the seeds of Indonesia's future badminton players. With this step, it will be ensured that the baton of achievement and the supremacy of national badminton will be maintained.

Until the closing of registration on July 19, 620 athletes have registered from 30 provinces in Indonesia. Only the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, North Maluku, and West Papua were absent from sending their representatives to Jakarta to compete in the championship which provided a total prize of more than IDR 1 billion.

In detail, the U-13 category will compete in the men's singles and women's singles, U-15 men's/women's singles, and men's/women's doubles. Finally, U-17 played five numbers, namely men's/women's singles, men's/women's doubles plus mixed doubles.

Later, provincial administrators with the highest number of gold medals will be entitled to bring the Presidential Cup rotating trophy, Agung said.
