Barcelona Officially Brings Franck Kessie From AC Milan, Fenced With A Clause Of IDR 7.8 Trillion

JAKARTA — Barcelona officially got Franck Kessie from AC Milan. He came with the status as a free transfer player.

The Spanish La Liga giants announced the signing of the 25-year-old on Monday afternoon WIB.

Barcelona previously made a deal with Kessie in March. However, the Blaugrana will have to wait until now to make an official announcement.

The Ivory Coast international will sign a contract until 2026 at the Blaugrana.

"Franck Kessie is a player who contributes both in attack and defence," Barcelona said of their new signing in an official announcement.

"Able to grab the ball in midfield. The African midfielder also has impressive goalscoring stats, partly due to his ability to run into the penalty area," they continued.

Barcelona fenced off their new player with a release clause of 500 million euros. This value is equivalent to IDR 7.8 trillion.

Kessie will add strength to Barcelona in midfield. The former Atalanta player made 223 appearances for Milan with 37 goals and 16 assists since joining the San Siro in 2017.
