Daud Jordan Beware Of Uthok's Experience And Short Blow

JAKARTA — Boxer Daud Yordan says Payah Uthok's experience and short shots must be watched out for as he defends his Asian Boxing Council Silver Super Lightweight (63.5 kg) title on Friday.

The boxer from Ketapang will compete in the main party of the MPRO Evolution Fight Series 2022 against Uthok at Balai Sarbini, Jakarta.

"I think he has experience. This is what we can also balance and beat and indeed the best teacher is experience," the 35-year-old boxer said at a press conference on Wednesday, June 30.

Statistically, Uthok's flight hours are far more than Daud. So far, Uthok has fought 64 times with a record of 54 wins (36 KOs) and 10 defeats.

Meanwhile, Daud was recorded to have undergone 46 fights with a total of 41 wins (29 KOs), four defeats, and one no contest. However, David was physically superior to that of his opponent.

Daud said that it was precisely his opponent's shorter physique that he needed to be wary of. He said that such a physique would rely on short strokes as their main weapon.

"He uses a lot of short strokes because physically he is inferior. He has optimized it. However, we have prepared several plans to beat him again," said Daud.

Daud's fight with Panya Uthok should have been held on March 4 in Thailand. However, at that time Daud Jordan was positive for COVID-19 so their duel was not held and only materialized on Thursday tomorrow.

Tomorrow's fight will also feature an equally exciting match between Indonesian boxer Ongen Saknosiwi and another Thai representative, Jirawat Thammachot.
