Serie A 2022/2023 Starting In August, AC Milan Directly Faces Tough Opponents

JAKARTA - AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli can't wait to start the new Serie A season with the team in mid-August. Although in the early weeks of the competition, Milan had to meet a strong opponent.

For the 2022/2023 Serie A season, the competition will start on 13 August 2022 and is planned to finish on 4 June 2023. At the beginning of the week, Milan was scheduled to face tough opponents such as Udinese, Atalanta, Bologna, and Sassuolo.

The Rossoneri also faced strong opponents in early September against city rivals Inter Milan and after that against Sampdoria and Napoli.

"It is a competitive start to the season, but as we know very well, the fixtures depend only on our performances", Pioli said, quoted by Football Italia.

Regarding Milan's heavy schedule, the Italian coach said that he would not care about the opponents he would face. Because Pioli wants to stay focused on his own team.

According to Pioli, AC Milan's current target is to keep growing in a better direction and next season they also want to defend the Serie A title.

"It doesn't matter who we face, what makes the difference is the level of belief we have and the desire to continue challenging ourselves, after an exhilarating season with Scudetto wins and love was shown from all corners of the earth", said Pioli.
