Jeremiah Rambitan's Injury Happened Before His Eyes, Rexy Mainaky's Tears Broke

JAKARTA - The injury suffered by Yeremia Rambitan in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2022 made Rexy Mainaky cry. The reason is, the Indonesian badminton legend who is now the coaching director of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) witnessed this incident in front of his eyes while accompanying his players, Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik.

After the match was declared over, Rexy Mainaky had time to face the media crew in the mixed zone area. It was at this moment that the legend burst into tears, his eyes red and teary.

Even though in this match Pramudya/Yeremia became the opponents of their team, Rexy still encouraged him, especially for Yeremia who was injured. He said Jeremiah had fought hard and gave his best.

“Keep your spirits up, so PCL will be hit, right? He still wants to be strong, he has given his best. Love the spirit, in principle I give encouragement to him, he is still young," said Rexy who then cried and could not continue the words.

While on the field, Rexy even swiftly approached Jeremiah who was lying down because of an injury. The legend did that as a form of mental support for this young badminton player.

Jeremiah suffered an injury when the score was 20-17 in the third game. This incident occurred when Jeremiah tried to grab the shuttle in front of the net but then fell.

Having received medical treatment, the 2022 Asian champion with Pramudya forced to continue the match before falling again and finally giving up. Despite his exhaustion, Jeremiah still finished the match with a score of 20-22 in the third game.
